255,254,252,248,240,224,192,128 & 0 are the only decimal values that can be used in a subnet mask.
The /22 refers to the amount of bits in the subnet mask. 22 bits = 11111111.11111111.11111100.00000000 So: 255.255.252.0 is the subnet mask.
